About Organization...
Nordic Investment Bank was established in 1976 by the five Scandinavian states - Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. It finances investment projects both in the Scandinavian countries and outside. Priority is granted to the projects that stimulate the development of business cooperation in the Scandinavian region. The headquarters of the Fund are situated in Finland (Helsinki).

Priority belongs to the states bordering on Scandinavia - the Baltic states, Poland, Russia (especially the northwestern regions)
Financed branches
The projects of special interest are the ones that promote development, as well as those presupposing introduction of effective systems of power use, development of infrastructure and stimulating scientific researches
Special requirements to the recipient of financing
- Ecological, financial and technical competence of the investment project
- The project must promote strengthening of mutually beneficial ties between the Scandinavian states and the country of the project's realization

Characteristics of financing
The Bank can provide financing to both private and state projects.
The Bank's contribution may amount to up to 50 % of the cost of the investment project. Credits can be used for financing any items of the investment project.
Usually credits are granted against the governmental guarantees, however they can be allocated without the same, especially as regards the projects that imply infrastructure development in the private sector.

Credits for financing investment projects in the countries bordering on Scandinavia - the Baltic states, Poland, Russia.
Financing is granted to the projects that promote economic development or have a positive influence on the state of the environment.
In Russia the right for receiving the ecological credits belongs to the private and state enterprises of the Kaliningrad region and the northwestern regions.
